In order for a collection to appear in Kontakt’s Libraries tab with the graphic, the developer of the library has to pay Native Instruments a fee for the privilege. The developer and end user get some perks from this deal as well, but suffice it to say that the price point many developers sell at. 2020-4-2 Configuring Kontakt For Live. Kontakt offers a lot of flexibility in routing MIDI to and audio from its huge library of sampled instruments. But along with that flexibility comes some configuration head-scratching and the occasional crashing headache. In order for your sound libraries to show up and load in Kontakt 5 or Reaktor 6, they must be located in the Content location directory in Native Access’ preferences. Now that your Content location preferences are updated, any new library content will be installed to that directory.
If you’ve been using Kontakt for a while then chances are that you’ve acquired some libraries that do not show up in the program’s “Libraries” tab and will not work with the “Add Library” button. Why is that?
In order for a collection to appear in Kontakt’s Libraries tab with the graphic, the developer of the library has to pay Native Instruments a fee for the privilege. The developer and end user get some perks from this deal as well, but suffice it to say that the price point many developers sell at does not justify the spend.
So as a user, what are your options to organize and load files from these “Non-Kontakt Kontakt Libraries”?
FOUR FOR THREE
Add four items to the cart and the price of the least expensive item will be set to $0.00
One method is to use the “Files” tab. From here you can navigate around your entire computer and load any Kontakt friendly file by double-clicking or dragging it into the main window.
Press the “Files” tab in the upper left side to navigate around your entire computer.
But if you’d like to stay within the “Libraries” tab, there is something else you can do.Adopt the Kontakt Factory Library as a place to store all your other libraries.
The Factory Library comes with Kontakt and you should have it if you elected to add it when you installed the program. If you don’t have the Factory Library, you can go back and install it separately.
When you press the “Instruments” button you will see seven categories of factory sounds. This is where you can add your own libraries or categories. To do this you will need to navigate to the Kontakt Factory Library folder by pressing the gear icon and selecting “Open Containing Folder”. Next, open the “Instruments” folder. This is where you can add your own libraries.

Pressing the “Refresh” button closes the Factory Library menu, but upon re-opening it you will see that the In Session Audio – BONUS folder has been added as an option.
Click it and from here you can load an instrument! On a side note, if you find you never use the Kontakt Factory Library sounds, you can delete any or all of the seven category folders.
Upon re-opening the Factory Library you will see that the “In Session Audio – BONUS” folder has been added as an option.

The update concerns:
– actually Kontakt c version 5.6.8 to 5.7.1;
– Utilities NI Kontakt Add Library.exe to version 1.0.5.
The separately-running NI Kontakt Add Library utility works with Kontakt versions below 5.6.8,
When working with the utility to avoid conflict with Kontakt,
no instance of Kontakt should be running either in the DAW or in the form of an EXE application.

Installation
Run Kontakt 5 Symlink Installer.exe from the unpacked base package – Kontakt 5.6.8 Symlink Installer.exe.
(As a result of his work, symlinks will be created on the site of the folders where the content of the standard installer is placed.
However, the content itself will actually be in those folders referred to by the symlink – inside the unpacked folder .. C .)
Attention! This step is necessary only if the launch of Kontakt 5.6.8 Symlink Installer.exe was not performed when installing the previous version.
Attention! You can not assign a VST plugin installation folder as an installation folder,
it is necessary to specify the folder attached to the VST for the placement of plug-ins Kontakt 5.
For example, if the folder C: Program Files (x86) VstPlugins already exists and is used, it can not be used,
but you need to specify the subfolders for the plug-ins of the corresponding bit:
C: Program Files (x86) VstPlugins Kontakt 5 x86
C: Program Files (x86) VstPlugins Kontakt 5 x64
or other nested by other existing VST paths.

How to register a package?
In this case, registration is not required, it has already been made by entering the necessary information in the registry and writing the xml files to the Service Center folder.
Note! Registration information for manual copying of content must be entered in the register by launching

How can I register a whole collection of encrypted libraries in one click?
File Add Library.exe
– provides batch adding of libraries by scanning the contents of the folder where your collection of NI Kontakt libraries is located.
– provides batch adding of libraries by scanning the contents of the folder where your collection of NI Kontakt libraries is located.
Before starting Add Library.exe, you must close (all the Kontakt applications and all DAWs required for updating the Add Library bookmark ribbon).
If there are several library collections on different disks and / or in different folders,
then the utility runs as many times as there are such folders,
each time a new folder for libraries is specified.
The utility will take some time to scan the subdirectories and analyze their content.
Now, you do not need the Service Center to register the libraries.

Mac Instruments
If NativeAccess.xml is not present in the Service Center folder, it will be automatically extracted from Add Library.exe.
Add Library.exe checks and requires administrative startup rights to enter the registry credentials of the libraries in the registry.
